Fun Friday, Ninja Edition
Watch out, Phil:
(Hat tip, Ace)
Federal Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearm agents, on campus for a community training project, detained Jeremiah Ransom of Macon Tuesday as a "suspicious individual" when they spotted a masked figure darting near the Georgia Center.
Ransom told The Red & Black student newspaper that he had left a Wesley Foundation pirate vs. ninja event when he was snared by agents with guns drawn.

I feel much safer now knowing ATF is on the lookout for ninjas. Real ninjas are very dangerous.

This whole ninjas/pirates/Chuck Norris thing just has to die. The internet has turned into recycling center from which Frat Boys can draw rediculous 1980's childhood notions of masculinity and turn them into pop culture references.
Here's a few more for you:
Van Damme
Thundercats
Samurai
Navy SEALs
Here's your next party: Thundercats vs. Samurai! With a 50 Cent soundtrack!
Whatever happened to toga parties?

I don't know about toga parties, but I've just been invited to a college party where you can only wear something that isn't clothes (but you must wear something). I guess that's what the kids are doing nowadays.
Frankly, I think the internet has just made everyone geekier.

I do not love ninjas. Well, I mean, I do love ninjas, but not as much as everyone seems to think I do. I really like swords, and other edged weapons, and ninjas often employ such instruments. Mostly, I really like immortals with swords and vampire hunters with swords, followed only slightly by characters from history who had skill with edged weapons, which includes, but is not exclusive to, ninjas. What do I think of these so-called modern urban ninjas? Well, obviosuly I think they are sweet; but not as sweet as the aforementioned groups.
