Woo hoo! I feel like I'm the only one psyched about this...
The rule changes: a thing of beauty. Drive out the Jacques Lemaires and the neutral zone traps, open up the game, make it more fun for the fans. I used to be a hockey purist, but then I realized the game was starting to suck. Do I need to see Giggy wear 800 lbs of equipment and lead his team to a Stanley Cup run? No, I'd rather see young guys like Iginla and Kovalchuk and the like come out and skate in open ice.
Great stuff...I'll give the league another shot, but the Rangers have to be good.
